ALBERT WUOKKO AWARD

Pharmacist emerita Eeva Teräsalmi, €6000

Pharmacist emerita Eeva Teräsalmi has been a key figure in advancing professional pharmacy practice and sustainable pharmacy both in Finland and internationally. She has held significant roles within the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), including board member and vice president, and served as co-chair of FIP’s Green Pharmacy working group. Teräsalmi initiated the Generation Green project and has been a founding member of its working group since 2014, actively promoting sustainability in pharmaceutical education and research. Her work has led to the establishment of a professorship in sustainable pharmacy and the publication of a textbook on the topic. She has also contributed actively to professional organizations and held influential roles within the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Helsinki.
