ALBERT WUOKKO AWARD 2023

The Albert Wuokko Award, 6000 €, was presented this year to a senior pharmacist. The prestigious award was awarded to Professor Jouni Hirvonen, who also serves as the Vice-Rector of the University of Helsinki. Professor Jouni Hirvonen has a remarkable academic career and he has had a huge impact on pharmaceutical science and teaching in Finland. The Finnish Pharmaceutical Society expresses its warmest congratulations!

RESEARCH GRANTS 2023

The Finnish Pharmaceutical Society has awarded the following grants in August 2023. The society received 32 applications during the grant application period.

Atefeh Saadabadi, Åbo Akademi, 12 000 €, Development of Novel Analgesics and Anti-Inflammatory Agents Derived from Natural Stilbenoids

Mella Louhisalmi, Itä-Suomen yliopisto, 12 000 €, Household Medication Waste in Finland
