The FinPharmSci 2025, the main networking event of the year, is organized on 6th of November, 2025. The society is also excited to launch a new pitching competition for PhD students as part of FinPharmSci 2025 event! The event is open to everyone working in the pharmaceutical sector in Finland — from early-career professionals to experienced researchers, educators, and industry experts across academia, healthcare, and regulatory fields.

The Finnish Pharmaceutical Society is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the “Most Outstanding Pharmaceutical Research Article” award. This award provides an opportunity for researchers to be recognized and honored for their valuable contributions to pharmaceutical sciences. The award is 500€, and the winner will be announced at the FinPharmSci 2025 event in November. Please send your nomination to arto.merivaara@uef.fi by September 26, 2025.

Weclome to FinPharmSci 2025 — the most important networking event for pharmaceutical sciences and research in Finland. The event is held in Helsinki on November 6th.

The annual meeting of the Finnish Pharmaceutical Society was held last Tuesday. In addition to the statutory topics, we were honored to invite former secretary, Professor Leena Peltonen, as an honorary member. Professor Peltonen served as the society's secretary for 18 years and has made a remarkable contribution to the society’s mission. Congratulations, Leena!

The Finnish Pharmaceutical Society is pleased to announce the opening of the call for applications for research grants. The grant application period is 1.5.-31.5.2025, and during the application period, personal grants can be applied for doctoral studies aiming at a PhD degree.

Welcome to the annual meeting of the Finnish Pharmaceutical Society on 13.5.2025 at 17.00. The meeting is held in Finnish at Fredrikinkatu 61 A 10, 00170, Helsinki.
Following the meeting, we are honored to have Chief Specialist Lauri Pelkonen from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health present a seminar. The seminar will be held in Finnish. After the seminar, there will be the opportunity to network with colleagues while enjoying food and wine. We warmly welcome your participation in both the meeting and the seminar!

The Finnish Pharmaceutical Society is pleased to announce the opening of the call for applications for travel grants and grants for organizing scientific meetings or conferences. The application time for the grants is 1.1.-31.1.2025.

The FinPharmSci event 2024 was organized on 14.11.2024 in Helsinki. The event gathered over 40 participants to enjoy great presentations and networking with colleagues. This years research grantees, Albert Wuokko awardee, outstanding article awardees, and study price awardees were announced in the seminar.

The 10th BBBB Conference “Today’s science, tomorrow’s healthcare” took place in 12th to 14th of September 2024 in Tartu, Estonia. The Finnish Pharmaceutical Society participated as a collaborator in organizing of the event.

EUFEPS Annual Meeting 2025 will be held in Vienna, Austria, between February 19 and 21, 2025. Finnish Pharmaceutical Society will organize a session about ocular drugs and drug delivery in the meeting. Deadline for abstract submission is on 1.11.2024!
